My grandma is 86 years old and is pretty much on her way out. I have come to terms with this fact and the fact that she has lived with a pig valve this long is somewhat of a miracle. Anyway, she has on more than one occasion asked me about my fascination with Pearl Jam. "I want to know why you have traveled from coast to coast to see music. I know you and it must be good", she says. Any thoughts? Obviously I can't rock her face off with the likes of Save You, RVM, Porch, etc....I mean she is 86. Thanks in advance. Songs I know that will be on there:
1. Faithful (that's about as hard as we can go I think)
2. In My Tree
3. Present Tense
4. Elderly Woman
5. Parachutes
6. Black
7. Release

Definitely put Alive on there, and Grievance. I'm surprised no one's mentioned Immortality and Indifference yet. Put those. You don't just have to put the pretty stuff. She wants to understand what makes you like them, and time's not long. No time to gatekeep or 'hide' part of what they are. By the time you're that age, you're not going to be to easily shocked. No Way, Alone. Black, and Release, Man of the Hour, as others mentioned. Wash.
