I was listening to off he goes...and I was thinking about how Eddie says...1 2 1 2...and then the music starts.
If I were to re-record the song I would add at the end:
3 4 3 4.
Cuz it's kinda like a story and In the begining you start with the 1 2 and end the song, just like a measure, with the 3 4. I thought that was kinda cool.
Just another little opinion.
Thoughts are appreciated.

The song starts on the 3. So rather than saying "1, 2" and then everyone has to start, he repeats the 1, 2 so you get a four count going in. It's hard to start the song right of a two count.

Did anyone else think of PinkPop '92 when they read this thread title?
She does nothing to deserve it....

I always wondered the purpose of him repeating the "1,2." Here all along I just thought that Ed had OCD.

The title of this thread reminded me of the old Sesame Street cartoon clip of the birds dancing and saying "1 2 1 2 1 2 . . ." I was gonna post the clip, and it would have been very clever.

But I couldn't find one.
Damn.
I imagined it in my head. Nice link.

is there a musical reason he counts to 2 twice instead of just counting to 4? or why they have to start on "3" instead of "1"
