I used to go to a redneck bar on Sunday nights after work, about 8 years ago (it was the only place open. Sundays were karaoke night, and the only Pearl Jam song they had was Smile (of all things), which obviously I didn't mind. I've never felt more like a rock star than when belting out "I miss you already" to an audience of 40 drunk bikers.

Smile karaoke! It's nice to know that exists. It's also nice to know someone would pick that song over Alive or Even Flow. Good choice.

Maybe I'm simply missing a joke or something here, but isn't it odd that karaoke is available for a song that has lyrics that even most hardcore fans can't agree on?

Good point. I wanna know what the karaoke machine says the lyrics are.

I used to have a Pearl Jam karaoke cd+g CD, but didn't have the monitor to display the lyrics. I quite imagine that whoever transcribed them butchered them, but then again Ed doesn't even know what the fuck they are so who can ya blame?
