The battle of the can't keeps was fun. Two nice covers but I'm going to give the nod to porchball.
And welcome to the tournament Tree_ and nice job with RVM. Some nice guitar playing there

man i missed this competition... always a good way to start the day w/a couple PJ covers.
the highly anticipated can't keep battle was cool, especially since both versions were so different. i liked the uke playing on chris's version. but i think the emotion in porchball's voice sealed the deal for me. great version, great production, looking forward to hearing your next entry. good job to both.

Good to have this back...I seriously need to get myself a steel drum so I can throw down a little red dot just so I can compete in this. Curse my lack of guitar ability!!
These were fun. Good job guys. I think this is a tough song to play and sing and you could kind of hear the thinking over the feeling on this one a bit from both submissions. The flow of the tunes were both a little bumpy.
That said, both guys had solid production. I really liked the uke sound. Porch did a nice job on what is a deceivingly difficult lyric IMO.
This is a tough call...and a great way to kick off round II...I'm going with porch on this one based on what felt like a smoother ride through the tune and some really nice handling of the lyrical "levels" in this song.
Nice job to both!

Loved both versions... did you both know you were doing Can't Keep?
I was just reading something about Can't Keep and Ed dedicating it to Elliott Smith a lot. Funny that those were the songs that were up today.
I love the uke! I want to learn how to play!!!
Porchball, your vocals floor me every time I hear them.

me and chris planned it out. Thought it would be cool to both do the same song.

Both versions were very good. The head to head idea was neat.
