have you guys every experienced a moment or time where you can look back and say man "its like something out of a pearl jam song." I had a Lukin moment today when I locked myself out of the house.
pretty much every time i hang out with this girl, we have pearl jam moments....we grew up listening to them, so we basically have the same feelings and reactions to situations

I wish I knew a girl like that. My college girlfriend at least liked them. My wife could care less.
I remember when I broke up with that girl that it was some mark lanegan and screaming trees songs that were the music that got me through the breakup (beggar's blues, sworn and broken, no one knows) and that I was vaguely disappointed that it wasn't black, but for whatever reason it just wasn't speaking to me at the time. I was just discovering mark lanegan then and Black had been in my life for 7 years at that point , so maybe that's why.
When I find myself getting really pissed off at war related news the bridge to WWS runs through my head.

A stripper requested Once and Do the Evolution the other night a some strip joint. My first ever lap dance (10 years ago) was to Black and AIC's Say goodbye, don't follow.
On a more serious note...my roomates dad has a story very similar to Alive

yeah, she's pretty much the most amazing girl ever....i always promised her when we were younger that i would take her to see pearl jam, because i had seen a few, and she has never been....so night 1 in chicago this year was her first time...
it's too bad i decided to date her older sister, and ruin any chances of me getting with her in the process...oh well...it's just sad though, because we are very much the same, and anticipate more from each ther...but both of us know we can't be together....so basically any pearl jam moment for me now is a litte more on the sad side

wow...a little personal there stip, sorry
That's horseshit dude. You only live once and you owe it to yourselves to give it a go.......It's not like you were married to her sister.....Hell in KY this would be how you'd meet most of your GF's!

Talk about it then. If you are into her you got nothing to loose and really, if you put it to her that way, she would have to think about why she does have those issues and what they are and if they are worth not even giving it a go.
thanks for the advice....i'd like to follow it, but i think the situation is better left alone....haha, i don't want to make it any more weird after the one night stand-ish sort of thing

recently, a kid in my town was murdered. i heard about it and thought... shit, some guy wont go home to his family, girlfriend... etc.
the next night when i came home, the newspaper was laid out on the table to the page talking about the incident. in a small picture i recognized the face of someone who i had known for a few years. i could not stop staring at the face i would never see again... it kind of really messed me up for a few days.

me too!
Usually the quotes pop up in my mind while the situations are there.
A funny one: killing a mosquito finding out it had bitten me:
"It's my blooooooooooooood!"

back in 1996 when No Code came out I had a friend who developed guillain barre syndrome and became so sick that he was placed on a ventilator in ICU. He was also bed ridden for over a month. Me and other friends from our group would visit him as much as possible. Anyway, this song reminds me of that time in my life because it fit the moment so perfectly. I remember writing down the lyrics to the song and showing him and explaining how it made me think of him every time.
