I'm sure most people on this fourm wont give a damn but I live in St. John's, NL and because of the upcomming Pearl Jam showS here there is a Pearl Jam Tribute band playing at a local bar this weekend. The band is called No Code. I'm hoping to go check them out and hopfully they will do PJ justice.

Why wouldn't people give a damn?

Mainly because they're in Newfoundland and there are a very small number of people here capable of attending such a show. But it's cool that you've got a pj cover band up there, a lot of more populated places don't even have one.

There was a Pearl Jam tribute band at Junctions in St. John's this past weekend and i decided to go check them out friday night and was so impressed that I had to go back Saturday night. These guys sounded JUST like Pearl Jam it was almost scary. I had a great time too because the lead singer got me up on stage to sing Rockin in the Free World with them. The band was called No Code. Coolest thing was they werent even a local act, they were from Kitchener Ontario. They got a website @ http://www.geocities.com/nocode_rocks I wish they had mp3's up because it is retarded how good these guys were.

Just curious as to why you'd want their mp3's...esp if they sound just like PJ.
I'd love to see them live, don't get me wrong, that would be fun....but mp3's ?

i was actually drunk walking to the subway in the west village last night when i was passing a tiny bar/club and saw all these signs in the window that said PEARL JAM in huge red letters. and of course like a dumbass i go running across the street (almost getting run over in the process) to see that its for the cover band No Code.
i'd be open to checking out a pj cover band fo sho, but clearly it aint shit compared to the real deal.

Another thing that was really good about them is that they played for almost 3 and a half hours....and the mp3's would be good for people that have never heard them...

I saw these guys in cranberry, pa. I thought they rocked. I wasn't sure what I was going to see on my way to the show, but after the show I was stunned at how good they really were. great set list too. I think they ended up playing thirty songs or something like that. I was very impressed.
There is a live mp3 of footsteps on the news page, some studio songs on the mp3 page, and a live compiliation on the booking agents/club owners page.
if your interested, check it out and let me know what you think. thanks
Well that was a shameless plug but that was cool. You do sound quite a bit like Eddie--nice job. Do you guys ever come down to New Jersey?

we have only been doing the PJ tribute thing for a few months now so we haven't ventured away from Mass yet, but we hope to in the future. Thanks for checking it out, its always beneficial to get feedback whether it be positive or negative.
