So I have a signed copy of the No Code vinyl by Eddie Vedder. My friend got it signed for me while he was an intern at the Late Show a while back.

Ed signed the outside, not the record itself, so I need to frame the whole thing. Thoughts, suggestions.....on how I should do this. Obviously, I am going to a professional framing store.

I'm digging this idea right now:

Any craft store with a framing department should have vinyl record frames. I don't know if I've seen them with the layout you want to do, but you can at least find a frame the size of the cover.

What color fram should I get. No Code has so many colors...maybe a black frame?

I think that would be best. I've only seen black album cover frames anyway, so you're in luck.

Yeah, now I just have to convince my wife to let me hang it somewhere, I will admit to some, the cover comes across as...loud. But I like it.

my wife has established a definite limit on the amount of PJ shit I can hang on the walls. But your no code thing is way too cool to not have up there

I guess that's reasonable. I left my randall's island poster in my dorm room my sophmore year so I can't talk

How will you play the record if you frame it? :)

no code is an odd sized album, it doesnt fit in regular album frames.
so i guess that means i have to break down and get it framed right?
how much do you think it will cost?

seinfeld references never cease to make me laugh. you're right about the size of the album sleeve. i've got all my albums in plastic sleeves and that one was definitely a bitch to secure.

consult your local used record shop for advice. if they can't help you directly, chances are that they'll be able to direct you to a website that might be able to give you what you want for a decent price.
