One of the worst PJ songs ever? I remeber liking this song a lot when Binaural first came out but for the longest time I cannot remember why. I like the bridge a bit but it seems completey pointless. I just heard it on Pearljamlive.com and can't remember why I liked it, anyone care to defend it?

I take Thin Air for what it is: a simple little love song. It certainly doesn't rank amongst the band's greatest songs, but it's short and sweet and makes its point rather well. It's just a good pop song.

was the first song/dance at my wedding. most pure love song...only acceptable love song by pearl jam to be played at a wedding...and I absolutely wanted my first dance to be to a pearl jam song.

that is enough to make this song a favourite of mine.

When did you get my brain? That's exactly what I was thinking. :)

The bolded part is 100 percent true, which is part of the reason I love the song.

absolutely love it. the end is the best, especially during the benaroya version, when ed starts going into the higher tone 'and i know she's reached my heart....in thiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnn aiiiiiiiir' and the guitar solo, yet so simple, is so sweet.

I really wanted a PJ song at my wedding but I really don't like thin air. Musically it sounds nice but eddie's vocals don't interst me that much (with some exceptions) and the lyrics are terrible. the ending effect is that i'm just kind of bored with it. I don't hate it like hitchhiker. It's just not very interesting.

It's great that you used it for your dance though :)

I think parachutes could work as a wedding song now

It's not in my past to presume...
Love can keep on moving,... in both directions...
How to be happy and true...
Is the quest we're taking on together...

Taking on,.. on, on, on, on...
Taking on,... on, on, on, on...

There's a light,... when my baby's in my arms...

And I know she's reached my heart,... in thin air
And I know she's reached my heart,... in thin air
Yes I know she's reached my heart,... in thin air

Yes I know she's reached my heart.

Pretty accurate as far as I am concerned - and while it may not be a masterpiece...it was a dream come true to have my wedding dance to this song.

Sorry that it hits home for me.

you never have to apologize for liking a song (unless it is hitchiker).

I like this song.

Only one thing doesn't make sense to me 'she's reached my heart in Thin Air'

But Stone wrote it, and everyone knows he's GAYYYY

Low Light and Thin Air are amongst the worst songs in the PJ catalog.
