Yeah, that's right. Ben Harper is in Brazil for some shows and he talked to the press yesterday. According to this site http://www.omelete.com.br/musica/artigos/base_para_artigos.asp?artigo=3536, Ben and Eddie are planning to record some Queen covers. When and how exactly this would happen, the story doesn't mention. It's written right there on the second paragraph. I think this is a pretty reliable source and all but, well, maybe he just said that to fuck with the press. I don't know that much about Ben Harper and if he's used to do stuff like that though.

I'm always happy for new music, but Queen? This has the potential to be a massive trainwreck.

Is Eddie turning into a fucking Karaoke King??? What the fuck is up with the covers? He needs to go away for a while. The whole band does. Hide for 3 years.

Anybody have an idea of what songs he might be able to pull off if this actually happens? I can't think of any that immediately come to mind.

me neither. If they go for a reinterpretation of the songs then okay, but if they are tying to do faithful covers I don't think it'll work.

I agree, they need to get more "alternative" once again.

wow, awesome news. eddie would fit just great in these:

the show must go on
under pressure
radio ga-ga
bohemian rhapsody
another one bites the dust
innuendo
who wants to live forever
somebody to love

Ed and Ben Harper doing under pressure together like Mercury and Bowie did would be soooo sick.
