Last Solider -- Solider goes off to war, leaving behind wife and kids.
Army Reserve -- Mother worries at home fearing for the solider's safety.
Parachutes -- In their seperation and possibly contemplating his death, the soldier reflects on their love and it's importance.
Worldwide Suicide -- The mother finds out the soldier is dead.
Come Back -- She is left destroyed by his death.

Moral of the story, war is bad, love is good.

You could probably throw Bu$hleaguer in there as well, for some expanded color.

you should definitley stick insignificance and YL in there.

Seeing as how YL barely has lyrics, I think it's that great of a war song. Insignficance, yes but it changes the perspective. I was just listening to Avacado and thinking how so many of the songs sound like they are about the same characters, and tell a narrative story beginning with Last Solider and fully realized on Avacado.

Insignifiance is probably the song that describes the war itself as its happening.

You should listen to Yellow Ledbetter from State College 2003, and potentially add it to your mix. You can understand all the lyrics and they're clearly about going off to fight in a war.

You forgot:

STBC - Soldier, whilst on leave, visits his favourite record shop whilst stoned.
