no. i think the best way to listen to pearl jam is to actually listen to all their albums from start to now.

Sure. Why not? I think Ten could turn the average listener off because of the production and such.

I definitely would, it's a pretty good example of their entire career. It has some different stuff, but it's still pretty accessible. I'd probably start them off with that, then maybe shoot to something more off-center like Binaural, Riot Act or Vitalogy, and then if they enjoy those tell them to just go at it in any order they want. If they can appreciate Pearl Jam and one of their weirder albums, they're probably going to appreciate everything.

I think it is probably the album I would MOST reccomend to a new person at this point, unless they knew the radio hits from Ten and liked them.

I think Avocado would be a great choice to introduce the band to someone else. Only trouble is, it doesn't sound like anything the band has done before, so it's almost like false advertising.

I always hook people with a bootleg, then I give them Vs, then if they're still interested, I give them everything else in order and let them sort it out. This method has never led anyone astray.

Yes, two words: Inside Job. At the end of a listen I or my friend Matt (the only realy other PJ fan I know) gave someone, that song stuck out to them the most. So yeah, I'd go w/ Avocado.

Avocado is quite easy to like. No Code, Yield and Binaural that requires more experience.

I can never understand why someone would NOT like pearl jam. Its just beyond me...I know a lot people don't care about it, and I many times fail at convincing people into pearl jam, but i can't figure out why...
