I'm giving an iPod as a gift and I've been loading music onto it. I don't want to fill it more than half way. I've loaded everything else and all I have left is PJ. Do I load all 8 studio albums or just RVM? She's not that big of a PJ fan but I feel like a housewife only spreading PJ in greatest hit format.

What should I do - load all 8 or just RVM?

You should include Lost Doggies.

Obviously your recipient doesn't.

thanks tom. this thread reminds me of some work i have to do.

and in answer to your question... some of your favorites + some you think she can identify with + some easily accessible stuff. that seems to be the format for my most successful noob mixes.

i also try to print out some lyrics for a few of the songs to get them going. soon, they will be one of us. ONE OF US! ONE OF US!!!

I guess I'm surprised that you aren't considering more PJ to throw on?

For the record, I loaded all 8 studio albums, a trimmed version of Lost Dogs and Merkinball.

Overall, about 2GB worth of music - about 500 songs.

Good choice. I think a trimmed down version of Lost Doggies works best. No one needs to hear Sweet Lew or Gremmie Out Of Control.

I think its a good idea to put songs on it. It makes the gift more personal. Its kinda like when you give a book as a gift. You always write a little message inside.
