Well I voted for Big Wave, cuz it is a good surf song. But I'd say Oceans, the couple uke songs, and even parachutes are all good surf songs, just for how the music flows, if not for the lyrics

I do like the surf guitar stuff on gremmie, the singing is a little hoaky but kinda fun.

Nice thread, Nick.

I like Big Wave more, so it gets my vote.

why isn't oceans in this list? thats kinda a surfing song yeah?

Hold on to the thread
The currents will shift
Glide me towards you
Know something's left
And we're all allowed
to dream of the next
Oh the next... time we touch..........

You don't have to stray
Two oceans away
Waves roll in my thoughts
Hold tight the ring...
The sea will rise...
Please stand by the shore...

I will be...
I will be...
There once more........

not directly a surfing song but its got surfing imagery and whatnot

It's exactly why. Oceans is more of a "parting is such sweet sorrow" type of deal.

Mike once referred to Given To Fly as a song that's like a wave- it builds and builds- then comes crashing down on you

I think alot of PJ songs are like that- it doesn't have to literally be @ waves, does it?

Also, I can't stop thinking of Laird Hamilton whenever I hear Big Wave-since that Iconoclast show

Gremmie is the worst song the band has recorded.
