Planning to do a little Christmas shopping through the Ten Club this year?
Now’s the time to visit tenclub.net and get busy shopping! Place your
order by December 8th 5:00pm PST for delivery within the US, and we'll do our best to have it delivered by Christmas Eve.

*Delivery by Christmas is not guaranteed and does not apply in the event
of extreme weather conditions or other unforeseen delivery interruptions
from the United States Postal Service. Ten Club cannot guarantee delivery
outside the US by Christmas Eve.

Order by the 8th, and you'll get it by Christmas Eve .... maybe, but for a lot of reasons, maybe not. And it's not guaranteed.

Thanks, Ten Club. Are you just sending out an e-mail to remind everyone that you're not a terribly efficient nor busy savy organization?

Yup, I think they showed all their cards after this year's ticketing fiasco. When an organization finds itself sending out e-mail notifications for online tickets after they have started going on sale, you should realize that the way things are done need to be tweaked a bit.

Isn't that why most businesses use FedEx, UPS, or DHL?

And we could go on and on...is there actually any new stuff on the site, or is this just a plea to us to open our wallets so they don't have to sing for their supper this Xmas?

ordered the 5x1 book on the first day when it came up, still nothing but they charged my credit card over 6 weeks ago. I just hope it'll be here before christmas...
and they charge like 15$ for shipping which is freaking ridiculous, i just wish they would use a professional online store like amazon to ship their stuff. Worked pretty good with the MOTH single back then.

Another example of ridiculousness...we could have a whole thread of bad experiences. Do they check this board or synergy at all?

They probably do monitor Synergy...the head of the Ten Club (rubysdad) posts there now and again. What is obvious is that they either don't care about suggestions or take offense to them. There was a major uproar during the 10 Club ticketing for this year's tour, and no answers or explanations were ever given. As was said, we could go on and on, but just as an example...lots of people were dismayed that they were announcing one leg at a time and it kept people in the dark over whether or not PJ was going to do a show in their area. In hindsight I suppose they were trying to maximize sales, but there was never an answer given as to why they were doing it that way other than "we don't know what the next leg will be" (which was bullshit).

heh. remember this one:

Ten Club message after Philly 05 Ticket Sale wrote:
A Love Letter to the fans:

It’s all love. And we just wanted to you to know … We love you because you love Pearl Jam. We love you because you participate in our Ten Club fun. We love you because of your enthusiasm and support for both Pearl Jam and the Ten Club. We love you because of your passion and dedication to music. It’s all love.

Like any other loving relationship, you must acknowledge that we are not perfect. We recognize we have some faults. Sometimes we send out newsletters too late, or the holiday single doesn’t come out during the holidays. Or we can only offer limited amount of tickets or merchandise, which leaves some of you without and extremely frustrated. Or sometimes our forums will go down, leaving you without your link to other fan club members. Or sometimes our web-store will not function properly for you and you are not able to purchase the items you are interested in … we want you to know we feel your pain. Every healthy relationship is a little push and pull, ebb and flow, up and down, so it’s nothing personal.

Pearl Jam and the Ten Club have been through many changes in the past year. The band has left their record label of 14 years and ventured into unstable but exciting territory of doing many things on their own. The Ten Club is a small operation and has taken on a lot of these endeavors, and we are learning many things along the way - your input is extremely helpful. During this transitional time, just know we are trying to make things better for you, to offer you more opportunities and include you more into the world of Pearl Jam.

That being said, we have high hopes that you will like us a whole lot more when all is said and done. We are planning to do something for our members early next year, to follow the release of the new record … something big, bold, beautiful, and free! So hang tight and enjoy the ride with us, continue to provide us with your input, and continue to spread the PJ love.

Did we mention that we love you? It’s all love.

Always,

~Ten Club Staff

The email we got about New Zealand being on the tour program but then never hearing a word more was pathetic. We emailed and emailed until someone got a reply one day...

"At the moment it's looking unlikely..."

After we sent copious emails, started a petition, wrote to the stadium it was rumoured to be...and we got one fuckin line. I don't have a bad word to say about the band, but 10C are rubbish.
