Including tool is deceptive, cuz vicarious is a pretty cool song on an utterly disappointing record
how do you vote in that thing?

10,000 days is an amazing record. the pot is one of the best ever tool songs. jambi is brilliant, and the part 1 and 2 of 10000 days is epic, as well as right in two!

At first I liked the new Tool more than Pearl Jam, but I lost interest in it real quick. And although it is rolling stone magazine, Dylans rank kills me. The new album is solid but nothing special in the least. every song sounds the same

we asked you guys to vote for the best American bands or artists who released an album this year. Apparently lots of you had a hard time with the directions because an inordinant number of votes came in for artists who were not eligible. (Did Wilco, The White Stripes, or Guns N’Roses release albums this year? No they did not.) So we’ve culled bands with the most votes AND who met the requirements of the poll. Your mission: choose from the top ten artists below and help determine 2006’s artist of the year.
