My favorite opener of all time. Sometimes is the best.

All I could think about before the Asheville show was how much I wanted Release as an opener, but I forgot altogether about how good Sometimes is as an opener and when those opening licks were played I could have cared less that it wasnt Release, and Holy Shit how good was that version of Sometimes?

I can't wait to witness this live. You can tell in No Code after this song it's going be a great ride.

I got this song as an opener in Dallas in both '98 and '00. I was expecting it in Dallas again in '03, but I was blown away when thy actually opened with ALIVE (of all things to open with)! I love Sometimes, though. This is such a wonderful song and it sets the mood for No Code brilliantly. Every time I pop in that album and hear the opening of this song, I just get into the best, most mellow mood ever. No other album puts me in such a relaxed mood as No Code does, and I think it is in large part due to such a strong and mood-setting opener.

I like to change the lyrics when I sing it to, "sometimes I speak of nothing at all, sometimes I speak to myself..." Speak just sounds better than reach in that line.

I do that too.

This is the best lyric in the song.

I like the song as well, but I don't find immensley fantastic or unique. Fairly simple music and for the most part the lyrics are fantastic either....but maybe the simplicity makes it great, cuz i do like the song a lot.
