does anyone else think that they suck?

seriously i think i could take better pictures, half of them are obscured, and they are all VERY similar.

and also it bugs me how they are so low resolutions and that there are only 6 of them.

The standards have dropped since the 2005 north america bootlegs.

just lets be happy they got rid of her name on the pictures.


i just thought it would be cool to use these as a desktop but they are so streched it looks shite.

I havne't tried to desktop any--i thought they've been pretty similar but I haven't looked that closely. I have been disappointed in the drop in number. The qualtiy seemed fine to me.

Yes, these are horrible. I bought a couple Canadian shows and they were great. Everything in 06' looks like it was taken with a disposable camera and scanned to a hardrive. Almost like they took the good ones in 05' as a marketing ploy.

This year's photos have definitely been a notch below those of 2005.

Kerensa is using the same gear as last year and I know she's got the talent to pull off some amazing shots so I can't help but feel someone else is just choosing to show mediocre quality shots.

It's funny this has been mentioned. I've been thinking about this recently, too. As a 'semi-pro' concert photographer, I often do live photography (no flash, wide aperture work being the predominating type in this field), and I have a few points to make.

Constructively:
1. She knows her gear, and she knows PJ's lighting tones. She definitely knows how to get the best out of her equipment, which is made much easier for her as she is familiar with the stage show.
2. She has a balance between 'technically' good shots and more 'arty' shots.

Criticism (and this is the kicker):
Many of the photos either online or with the boots neglect to illustrate defining moments of a given show (eg. none of the shots on pj.com or with the Croatia bootleg show Ed singing from halfway up the lighting rig). This is her grievous sin, photography-wise. If something brilliant happens at your show, and the only official photos from that show could have been taken at any show, is this not defeating the purpose?

I spoke with Kerensa and the other Girl that looks like her in Detroit this year. I ran into them outside for like 3 minutes and asked many of the questions you are here. Why the lack of shots included? Why the big KPHOTO in there? why is the high RES stuff gone? Both said it is not up to them that it is up to the people back at the Tenclub to decide what pics go to Basecamp, and also it is up to them to decide quality of the pics themselves.


I'm telling ya im starting to really just hate the way this Ten club runs itself and handles its business. But thats a different topic, who knows they both could have been lying to my face anyway

You would figure its easy...there are a bunch of memorable photos from each show instead of 6 that seem to be repeated from other shows and have nothing special...

They really try to make them suck...

the photos arent the best but I dont really mind that much. Its all about the music for me.

hmm...to be honest, I haven't even looked at the photos I've just listened to the shows (which are awesome)

I know what you guys are getting at - i think that - honestly - if there was another 10 boots to come if they just put in the same photos from another show on the tour this year no-one would notice (except obvious stuff like mike's hair turning red again) as they are all the same...

I haven't really paid attention to the photos this year so I don't care much, although I suppose if they were better I would have cared more. I did enjoy them in 05

ive talk to her in 03 at the show in alabama..she helped me out with a ticket mishap ten club never gave us a email confriming we had tickets but me and my buddy went anyway we fig we had tickets they just got lazy and didn't send out any emails..so me and my buddy get there and there no tickets for us and we are totally bummed for one we just drove from VA...anyway Kerensa who helped out with tickets at the time heard what was going on made a call and said here you go guys...and she gave me 2 of the best tickets i have ever had at any pj show...so im totally grateful to her..i never asked her anything about photos or anything like that just sorta how things going with the crew and the whole pj family on tour kinda stuff she was really nice..im not saying nice people don't lie but i think you can trust that she is telling the truth about the photos
