I keep wondering how much longer Pearl Jam has. Was s/t their last record? Or do they have one more? Perhaps they'll pull a U2 and remain for another 15 years? What do you think?

I really could care less, if the space between the last two records is a sign of impending U2-like lethargy. There's not THAT much difference between retired and that kinda playing.

Well, Kinsey's surveys found that 75% of men lasted less than five minutes, and quite a few lasted less than two; Hite found that 62% of men lasted less than five minutes; and Masters and Johnson more or less agreed.

So, I don't know, but going by averages, about 5 - 10 minutes.

I just hope they stay together as long as they're motivated...if they start releasing albums just for the sake of it, I'd prefer they'd stop.
(not that I'm saying they're doing so now..)

as long as they keep taking breaks from eachother after the tours and then "rediscover" pearl jam and make it feel fresh and new without having it feel forced or fake then they will be around but as soon as they feel like that, then it wont be good for anyone, i mean look at dylan and neil young, the rolling stones, the who and u2, and REM.... all these bands and artists have been around for a good while and have remained somewhat relivant to the music world... i mean sure once in a while one of their albums doesnt stand up to their "classics" but every now and then they will release a really good or sometimes great album which brings them to the forefront of the industry again... and touring is a big part of it too, i think its easy to get burnt out on the roud when you get older... but pj has a big live following too so its difficult to see how much they will tour in the future, they seemed to be having a great time together last year at the shows, and they had a good response... i mean no one here can give you an answer to how long it will last so all we can do is enjoy the time we have now and live "in the present tense"

Of the older artists you listed (Dylan, Neil, Stones, Who), the only one that has truly felt exciting and relevant for the entirety of the last 20 years is Neil, and that's because he didn't use his age as an excuse to slow down his output or narrow his vision. He kept at it harder than most musicians in their 20's do these days and tried things because he wanted to, not worrying about irritating or losing fans.

The Who and the Stones feel like occasional nighttime parades, anymore.

I think they have some years of good carrer left...
And I believe they will release at least 2 albums. Don't you see?
Older, they are even better...like a very old whiskey.
