I voted Last Soldier since Army reserve is at the same level as Evacuation for me. In other words; a terrible, terrible song.

I dont hate army reserve but if you gave me the choice, id pick the first one.

wouldnt Yellow Ledbetter fall under this category? (or is that more coping with loved ones lost in war?)

At first Ledbetter jumped into my head too but yeah, to the extent it is about war the loved one is already dead.

I find these "best song" headings rather comical since there are usually only two possible songs to choose from. Here is a proposal for a future poll:

"Best song about disaffected youth who have been pushed so far towards the breaking point that they bring a gun to school and act out in front of their classmates" (Jeremy v. Rival) :)
