Temporary phase. I'm giving rest to my PJ CDs and MP3s as I don't feel like listening to PJ bootlegs or studio albums. I've been listening to their music for the past 9-10 years on an almost everyday basis...think I need a little break now  Their music just isn't exciting me \me as much!

Does anyone else feel the same, or has anyone felt the same?

I know i'll get back in the groove as soon as a new album is released or as soon as a new tour is announced. But until then, I'm gonna explore new music...ignored music.

None the less, PJ will continue to be my most favourite band...its just that I need a little break

Keep rockin' - A

This is one of my great fears. I really need Pearl Jam to motivate me when doing cardio exercise. I can't bear to be on the elliptical or treadmill without PJ cranking into my head. Nothing else motivates me in the same way. I basically can't afford to find myself bored by PJ. However, that said, I have listening to so much in the last year that I am in grave danger of wearing it out. Right now I am only listening while at the gym and I am making custom mixes from live shows to keep it fresh. I know I will never tire of them for good but it is hard since I can't really take a break, unless I stop exercising, and I don't want to do that. I wish I could find other music that worked for me in the same way, but nothing else does.

You people are a bunch of spoiled brats. Typical behavior for rhis generation. These guys are putting out better music now and performing with such vigor compared to the reckless 90s.

Turn in your 10C memberships. If you even have them.

come on, no one really means it. or at least i don't. but yeah, we are all super fans and maybe listen to the music a little more than we should. so its easy to get bored. plus for me, i think i need to get bored of an album to let go of it, so i can come back to it and find and appreciate things i couldn't on the first however many listens or however many months. and no i will not turn my number in!

you don't have to feel guilty for needing a break from a band,

It's always nice to take a break and then come back...when you start listening to the songs again you remember why you loved them to begin with.

no wonder you're tired of them, jesus.

it's been a few years since i've been really motivated to listen to pearl jam, but it hasn't changed my enjoyment of seeing them live.

I agree with this...I take breaks from PJ every now and then..I usually spend a couple of months without them and then when I come back is always great!
