this might be one of the toughest match-ups in the first round. chinofstone has a good group of songs headed by Immortality, while conoalias has a top ten song in Present Tense with a bottom 5 song in Off He Goes. Every other song is solid. In the end, Off He Goes drags down conoalias as every other match is fairly even.
Vote goes to chinofstone.

conoalias in a landslide.
I use a 3-2-1 system (with the occassional 2.5 thrown in) for primo-good-poor. My scoring tells me that cono is gonna put up a good showing in this comp.

1. chinofstone
a. Immortality--5 stars
b. Grievance--4 stars
c. Faithful-3.5 stars
d. Undone-4 stars
e. Angel-3.5 stars
f. Education-3 stars
vs.
8. conoalias
a. Present Tense-4 stars
b. State of Love and Trust-4.5 stars
c. Footsteps-3.5 stars
d. Breakerfall-3 stars
e. World Wide Suicide-5 stars
f. Off He Goes-1 star (ugh)
Two interesting teams here as with the exception of WWS, undone, and immortality, both are made up of songs that a year or two ago I would have rated slightly higher than I do at this moment
Chin-23 points
Cono-21 points
Had cono had any song other than off he goes he likely would have tied and WWS would have been his tiebreaker, since that is a top 5 song for me
Vote for Chinofstone. Good luck to you both

while you guys are voting on something that only takes being a fan to participate in....why don't you go vote for some of the mad talent in the other bands covers contest... Tree_ vs Cortez the killer for a couple more hours. turnout is low. you don't have to worry about downloading and waiting for rapidshare to hear the songs...conoalias has them posted on his website for easy access.
