In an attempt to get the conversation back on track...

Yes I do remember those days. I would love to hear a 94 era version of Blood in 07.

But if he can't pull it off anymore, he can't pull it off anymore.. I'd rather have pearl jam w/o screaming than no pearl jam at all.

comatose is fake screaming, he cant do it anymore and its painfull to hear that song live. hes using his voice to sound like he's screaming. but I can also understand why he cant anymore, a guy in mid 40's must find it very difficult to scream like a 20 something.

he used to be great at it. listening to deep and blood from the old days, they have some killer screams.

Screaming is a young man's job, because young men don't know enough interesting things to say but still want to be heard.

:heartbeat:

There's a reason I'm not at all a fan of the 92-93 shows.

well put

I love the screams in comatose. They were always hit or miss for me. I love them in songs like comatose, love reign', WWS, or Blood, but on the other hand they feel unnecssary in songs like habit or lukin

yeah--I don't really consider that a 'scream' though. I defintiely miss the extra power his voice used to have.

while I love the old stuff.. I understand that ed couldn't possibly keep that up forever. My first show in 95' was a great example of why. The first half of the show was awesome, but Ed blew his voice and the rest was just ok. I think thats about the time he started to get away from the screaming. I'm just glad i got to see one show when he still gave it his all.

nope--but I don't mind. The screaming in go goes in the unnecessary pile.

95 shows are hard to listen to sometimes. Ed's voice is shot.
