http://www.myspace.com/stubrodie87 O.K this is it folks - the start of our campaign to bring Pearl Jam back to Scotland after 7 years of waiting! Us Scots are known for our fighting spirit and we must continue to protest until it is too large to ignore. I will set up my myspace page specifically for The Tartan Army Campaign to grow and build community spirit on Myspace. If The Tartan Army Campaign is successful, i will email the Ten Club and inform them. So, if you want to see Pearl Jam play in Scotland in 2007, sign the petition, add me on Myspace and spread the word far and wide from Edinburgh to the Highlands!
this is a petition but general discussion is welcome
TTAC!

I'm not that surprised by the lack of a Scottish date, we have only one suitable venue, the SECC, and if that isn't available on a suitable night, then it doesn't happen.
What does surprise me is that there is only one show for the whole of the UK. The first real Pearl Jam concert in the UK for seven years. If they wait another seven years, that will be 1 show in 14 years for what is surely the bands second biggest market outside of the USA.
I just can't fathom it at all. Perhaps they decided in 2000 that they don't like the weather or something.
Plus they have 2 days off after Wembly. Surely to hell there must be a suitable venue somewhere in the UK that they could have booked for June 19th?
Pearl Jam and Bruce Springsteen disgust me with their continual disregard to us Scottish fans.
Quite happy to play endless shows in the US preaching about George Bush, but actually go to a few countries who just want to hear the music, nah fu*k that.

how far is the furthest point in scotland from the euro dates they're playing? Isn't this like people in albany campaigning in a year where there are only shows at MSG?

I'm about 15 miles south of aberdeen so I'm flying down to london. I can get flights and 2 nights nights in a 4 star hotel for just over 150 pounds which isn't that bad for london

I don't even know how to begin to explain how retarded that comment is.
No, sparky, we don't want to hear the music, nah, fuCk that.
I really, really, want to start ripping on Europeans again.
How about a petition to get the band to play the east coast again?
