Actually, I like that song he had with the Cat Power lady. So someone like a Tori Amos, who has a high, pristine voice.
I think the contrast in their voices would sound neat.
i'd like to hear that 8)

I would like to hear him sing with a female voice for once. Two of the most amazing voices I have heard in the last few years are woman named Mindy Smith and Shara Worden of My Brightest Diamond. You guys have to hear her sing.

Quote:
4.18 Did I hear PJ cover "This Boy"? Isn't that making fun of Ed? What's the deal?
The song This Boy is not an improv but a song written in 1994 about Eddie Vedder by the recently disbanded L.A. group, That Dog. Two of the women in the band perform on the Mike Watt album, Ballhog or Tugboat and apparently they met Ed, and were terribly embarrassed as the song ridicules him ("How could they make such a fuss over this boy?"). He asked for a copy of the record when he met them!! This Boy was first performed by PJ as a Daughter tag at the 6/20/95 Red Rocks show and was covered at a few other 95 shows. [Thanks so much to Jean Bruns for this great info!]

reading it again, i actually think Ed found the ordeal quite funny instead of being pissed about it.

I was thinking Chris Robinson would be interesting.

For the hell of it, I went to The Black Crowes message board, because I actually forgot Chris' last name....and, the first post I saw was this:

some great ideas so far...

I can't imagine how it would sound but I'd like to hear him do "you'll never surf again" with Dan Reeder. great song and artist.

Michael Stipe. I know this has happened a few times live, but I really can't wait to hear the Ed-Stipe song on REM's new album.
