Does anyone remember a series that used to come on MTV very sporadically called Music in High places (might have been on VH11 actually). They usually had a band go numerous exotic location and do acoustic version of their songs. I've seen Collective Soul, Deftones, and maybe Jewel or Alanis Morsette, but it was pretty cool because they go from a performance on a mountain top with one song to a performance in a small bar or street ally.

I could easily see Pearl Jam doing something in Hawaii or the streets of Seattle. The Collective Soul one was pretty good, check it out on youtube.

On another note, I wish they had a straight up live music channel. I've never had anything but basic cable so I wouldn't know if they did that already. But I love shows like Unplugged, Storytellers, MTV Icons, and Crossroads and have to stop and watch them even if they had crappy bands or artists. I would like to see Pearl Jam on all of these (I personally thought the Storytellers set was disappointing, and they should do another Unplugged-esque DVD or something.) It's better than those damn pop culture shows or reality shows they put on MUSIC TeleVision.

my cable company provides a music HD channell that plays a lot of live stuff all the time-music with altitude, storytellers (pearl jam's get's played quite a bit), crossroads, CMT music fest with Lynard Skynard, and various other live acts-gorillaz, roy orbison, heart with various guests, and tons of other stuff that don't interest me but might other people. I have the non-digital expanded basic (no premium movie channels or on demand or anything like that), but for $5.00 extra a month, I get the HD package which includes said channel. not a bad deal really.
