Well it didn't say that Andy Wood would be coming out to do a duet on Crown of Thorns. But May 4th would be a good day to do it, if this is true. The Sox are out of town for a week after May 4th so that would leave enough time to touch up the field after its over.

This website is reporting this. http://www.last.fm/music/Pearl+Jam/+events I don't know how true it is but this has been a hot rumor in boston the last 2 years. Ed and Theo Espstein, the Red Sox GM, are friendly and the Sox just so happen to be out of town that weekend. Anyone familiar with that website? I really hope this isn't BS.

This show needs to happen. WBCN was talking about a rumored Fenway show about a month ago. What is the deal with last.fm? Are they legit or do they just spread bs?

This is bullshit. The Sox can not have concerts before June due to the fact the City Council is not in session at that point to approve. I can tell you this, the Police are going to be the ONE band that plays Fenway this Summer. July 28th or 29. I wish this pitiful rumor was true, but it isn't. Pearl Jam will probably never play Fenway because of the "risk" involved. Take this from a representative of the district in the know.
