Just read this on espn.com. I love the mutual respect he and the guys in Pearl Jam have for each other. I also love baseball.

If you listen to the 6-27-06 boot from St. Paul, PJ plays Light Years for Gammons. This was shortly after his stroke and Ed says how they have a friend in the north east who isn't doing well and that Light Years is for him.

Ha, that’s awesome, yea, Peter Gammons references PJ quite a few times over the years.
I didn’t know that about the St. Paul show, cool.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't see what you guys are talking about. I think I have to be an ESPN Insider to access it. Can one of you guys copy and paste what he wrote.
Thanks.

He’s making a reference to the song Wishlist in the last two lines of his first paragraph.

The equipment trucks are on routes 95 and 10 and 8, going through Tucamcari, N.M., and south of the border and Pensacola, Fla., and Winslow, Ariz. And as every team regathers for another round of spring training, it seems they all have a lot of hope; they all feel so good they're going to break somebody's heart tonight, while managers hope they are the messengers and that all the news is good. And general managers pray they are the moon reflecting off your Camaro's hood.
