The boys are back in the studio this week, that feeling is in the air... I've got a feeling the next album will be similar to the openness and warmth of Yield. Riot Act was clearly a dark and moody album (not in a bad way) largely because of where the band was at, and the world events of the time. After the phenomenal tour that was 2003, the band seems to be re-born, and a new label gives them what they want. Can't wait to hear the rumors of new songs, maybe a song leak here or there... Aint it grand?

You asked "Ain't it grand?"

YES!!!

I'm so hungry for some new music from them. I hope it pours out of them with ease. :)

I can see two paths for the next album; I don't know whether this is right or wrong, but the outcome of the election is important.... I can see another Riot Act if Bush wins, something new and light and better if Kerry does.

That's a good way of looking at it. I have nothing original to add right now, so I'll just say what you said in different word. I could see there being more anger on the album if Bush wins.

I'm going to take the purist route and not listen to a single song or read a single review until the album is in my hands and I've listened to it several times.

Out of curiosity(sp) what is your source??? A friend of mine talked to Ed in Seattle before the last show up there (like a few days before) and he said he was off on Vacation till the end of the year, and that he would see us next summer (hopefully).

Note: don't hold me to it, just what we heard from the horses mouth

If Bush wins, we'll see a darker moodier album. If Kerry wins maybe we'll see another Yield! :D

Good idea. I know I won't be able to stop myself from hearing the first single (presuming there is one) but aside from that I will try to abstain. Even from the album cover, but I'm weak and will almost certainly peek.

That's what I did for Riot Act and I plan to do the same with the next one.
