I was a little " scared " when i arrived at 68th Street & Broadway , when my GF and I saw the line going completely around the corner, spilling over onto Columbus Avenue.
Another odd thing was, when we got there, it was clear that this was not a Pearl Jam fanclub exclusive , there were clearly people on this line that had no knowledge of who Pearl Jam even are , but thats cool.
We waited it out, and got very lucky to get 2 seats together within the theatre. It was packed. People were reserving entire rows ( a group of young girls held an entire row on reserve -- while obviously waiting on their friends to arrive )
We later found out that NYU had given alot of passes out to thewir students to come and see the movie , as well as numerous other poeple that we couldnt figure out the reason(s) .
You dont hear Pearl Jam performing the title track until the very end , when the credits are rolling. Even then , no mention of Pearl Jam in the actual movie.
The storyline was a little "iffy", but even tho, still this is quite the departure from Sandlers usual work .
Sandlers character collects records , & there are lots of bands and artists mentioned within the storyline.
The Pretenders, Bob Seger, and of course, Bruce Springsteens " The River " has a minor " role " in this movie .
Its subject matter still tugs at your heartstrings , even after all the time that has passed.
I'll definitely be picking up the Soundtrack for this flick when it is available. It was excellent hearing " Drive All Night " and especially the timing of that song being played.
Sandler donated his entire earnings from this movie to US Iraqi & Afghanistan War Veterans.
All the women in this movie were crazy hot. Liv Tyler, that BJ girl and even Will Smith’s wife in her little jogging suits.
The movie was great I thought. Great story, even better acting, even from Sandler.
If I was not a robot and had actual emotions I would have cried a couple of time, like my girlfriend did.
I recommend this.

I want to see this, but not as badly as I want to see TMNT

haha, i love(d) them as well, but the new movie looks way to "digitally enhanced". i don't like them fucking up my childhood memories by making them darker green and moving all smoothly. That, and the trailer looks pretty crappy.
but if anyone could provide a screencap of the new April i'd be much obliged
