There's only one thing about Rival that's not perfect, and that is the fade out. Now, I think this is a song that should have a fade out instead of a cold ending but they could have let it ride out a little longer.

But then again, there's something to be said about leaving the audience wanting more.

Agreed, I've always wanted that outro to be longer. It sounds like it's about to get really good, then the song fades out.

I listened to this yesterday while walking outside in the cool, autumn evening. Nothing as it Seems came on and it was just perfect. The production fits the mood of that song so well that it's scary.

Best PJ album by far. In fact, this is not an album, it's a statement. Nothing else they ever did before or after comes even close to touching Binaural.

I'm making a long overdue appearance in this thread to say that Rafa is right.

Rival, Rival

has none

I like to play this on guitar
you can tell that Stone just puts his fingers
here
and then he moves them
there
and he makes up chords
or puts two together
like he does
here:....

(and the intro goes):

Nyyeert (nyeert nyeert)
ner Nyyeert (nyeert nyeert )
ner Nyyeert (nyeert nyeert )
ner Nyyeert (nyeert nyeert)
nert

~all my rivals will see what I have in store
my gun
I've been harvesting fleets on this resovoir
red sun
and this nation's about to explode~

~all you ___are riddled in metaphor
well hung
better pony up and bring both your barrels full
not one
as we release unspeakable toll~~ Woot!

every grain of sand equals
all the stars and every one

da na na
da na na
