New Info on Page 6

Hi,

Before the board got revamped someone posted about a Surfing Documentary film they had seen in a recent film festival that had some Ed songs on Uke playing in the background. He provided a website for the film, which mentioned it would be in surf shops in October. I cannot find that thread anywhere and im trying to find the name of the film so i can locate it. Can mods or anyone help me track it down? Thank you.

-Chris

Remember?:

"A Brokedown Melody follows swell through South America, Polynesia, and Jamaica documenting the surfing of Kelly Slater, Gerry Lopez, Jack Johnson, mike todd, Matt Costa and more.

Music By - Jack Johnson, Eddy Vedder, Beta Band, and more."

did anyone else watch this?

This is a surf video... basically shows some great shots to music and you'll hera some narration from surfers like Jack Johnson and Kelly Slater. Eddie's song starts off a scene and then the music fades out. The song is credited at the end and I believe it was called "Our Love to Remember".

Yes, you can order it. Just google search A Broke Down Melody and a surf shop based out of CA is selling it. I got it a week ago.

You can find the DVD here:

http://www.wetsand.com/store/product.asp?ProdId=1559

You only hear Eddie's song for about 10-15 seconds then it fades out.
If you're into surfing and music then I'd say get it. Maybe let's hope they put out a soundtrack.

I think there was a discussion about this a few weeks ago. The Songs is called "Our love is to remember" and one can only hope it'll be featured on the official soundtrack of the movie. Here's a link with all the songs in the movie.
(sorry if this has already been posted, I wasn't around much lately)

This song was performed in 2002 at Royce Hall and the Wilten Theater (concert with Beck). Its one of Ed's uke songs. The Jack Johnson website speculates that it willl be out in the spring.

I LOVE THAT SONG!!

it is so beautiful! That night must have been so great to be at! The crowd was pretty loud the whole night requesting songs and all, but such an amazing night!

Somebody brought this up when the film was released. Apparently, the clip of the song in the film is incomplete, otherwise like a sucker, I would have bought the DVD and ripped the audio. Hopefully, the soundtrack album will have the full recording.

**quotes entire setlists ffrom Royce & WIltern shows**

What's your point? That a song might have a different official title than what we called it on our bootlegs?
