According to Mike McCready, Eddie will be doing some solo shows in addition to Bridge School. Also, Mike is working on the soundtrack to a new documentary, so there will probably be new music from Mike.
In recent interviews, Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder has hinted that he might tour in support of his solo soundtrack for Sean Penn's critically acclaimed new film "Into the Wild." And Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready confirmed those plans this morning during an interview that mostly focused on Pearl Jam's new DVD, "Immagine in Cornice," which was released Tuesday. When asked what everyone would be doing before Pearl Jam reconvenes next spring to work on a new album, McCready mentioned Vedder’s plans to play Neil Young’s Bridge School Benefit concert and “some West Coast dates.”
However, he declined to fill in further details before the official announcement, which he said was coming soon.
McCready called from Los Angeles where he has been working on demos for a documentary project. He said that recording background songs for the new "Immagine" DVD inspired him to pursue that sort of soundtrack and scoring work.

I doubt he'll come anywhere near the northeast for this. No reason to think that, but it's just a hunch. He oughtta play the fucking south and do a 3 hour show for every major city the band didn't tour at over the past few years. Can you buy $10 eggs down south?

He musta missed the memo that he should simply live to please us, as well as be completely ok with all of us getting all of his and his band's music for free. How dare he suggest that people actually buy the records they make!!Someone should resend that memo....sheesh, what's wrong with him!?

They did pull the article. Here is what is in it's place:
In response to the previous blog post, Pearl Jam publicist Nicole Vandenberg said that Eddie Vedder solo dates had been discussed but that none had been booked. Hmm. Guess we'll have to wait and see how that all unfolds.
