just askin b/c I noticed there are also other bands covered, I respect some of the revisions that have been made, and I wanted to see if some of the bands have original material...not sure why you would want to be rude about it

do you mean the board members who have posted in the cover contest? I'm not sure what you're asking here
also, welcome to the board

i think what he is asking is original material from those who have participated in the cover contests going on on RM. if so, you should probably post in the OB cover contest thread and ask there. the link is in stip's signature.

I dont know...maybe I am very confused about this whole cover contest. I thought these were established bands that submitted versions of PJ songs (and other bands, as well) they play, or maybe put a song together for the contest. For example, a band we used to go see play in the local bars, etc, would play Yellow Ledbetter (not very well) and various covers of other bands (they did a really good rock version Gone Till November) but they also put out 4 CDs over 7 years or so and had some really good original material. They used to have a decent web page, but then decided to quit updating it in favor of a my space page, which is not as good. Are none of these actually established bands? The version of Porch I listened to sounded live...anyway, thanks for replying, I must have gotten in too late on all this to realize the situation. I did really like some of the songs. I think my fav was acoustic I Got Shit.

A lot of those contributions were simply made by Pearl Jam fans who are good at music too. Not neccesarily bands that play their own stuff or other covers(although that could be the case in some situations), but the names listed were just usernames on this board.
But if you want some PJ cover bands, do a google search for 'Pearl Jam cover band' and some will come up.

There was a torrent created a while back called Pulled The Covers from a blog and it was a large collection of discs of PJ cover tunes. Worth checking out if you can locate it.
