Could someone tell me the timeline when Pearl Jam wrote their songs for Vs and Vitalogy. I'm speculating that they must have written a ton of songs during the 93. They played all the songs off vitalogy at some point during the Vs. tour except for nothingman and the studio wankery songs. On another note, in listening to the vs tour versions of vitalogy songs shows what kind of change the band went through between the tours. it's an entirely different Last Exit played on 12-9-93 that on 1-14-95. Satan's Bed was never the same after 4-3-94.
Also thinking about prerelease performances, its surprising to me how Brain of J entirely skipped an album and how Hard to Imagine didn't release until Chicago club. On an opposite note, what were they thinking when they put Leash on Vs or why did they even record it?

nothingman was played in Michigan. Ann Arbor I think.

Yeah, I don't mind Leash at all.
It's so funny that it's hip now to bag Leash...all anyone ever wanted for years was for them to play it and now they all whining cuz they're sick of it because they started playing it again.

I used to dislike Leash and I laughed at every Leash petition and stuff. Then I saw it live...
i heard not for you at a 04/94 show...to this day, it is my favorite all time song.
then they played it the following saturday night on SNL. the next day i heard WBCN raving about it but they did not know the name of the song, so i called them and told them. i felt all cool and shit.
