...trying to get me some vagina and throughout the whole day random music was blaring through the speakers. When we first got there it was all country but i guess the person in charge of the music got off soon after because after that it was all rock...and a strange assortment of rock at that.
but nothing really caught my ear all day until i heard the familiar vocal stylings of my favorite vocalist......................of course im talking about scott stapp from creed . it was that gay song about being "six feet from the edge and im thinkin..." or something like that, and through the song im just laughing to myself wondering why anyone ever like those hacks, when my buddy taps me on the back and asks "hey man, isnt this pearl jam?" although i was completely aghast at the question, i decided to not come off as a music snob and politely retorted "no dude, this is fucking creed."
well not 10 seconds after i said that and immediately after the creed song was over i hear the sweet sweet opening riff to ol' Yellow Ledbetter. i was as if god himself heard my stupid ass friend and said "here, set this nigga straight". I was like "now this is pearl jam man!" and he responded with "oh, well the last song was better"
Im sure i caught a few strange glances as i proceeded to sing along to every word and then hum along to the solo, but i was so overcome with joy after having to sit through that god awful creed song that i didnt care.
to add to my joy, i got 2 girls phone numbers and they played black as we were leaving! no one i was with had any clue who it was, but again i didnt want to come off as some PJ nut (but i am!! ) and just enjoyed listening to my favorite music in the company of some great people.
thanks for reading..just thought id share since PJ is my favorite band now that im growing increasingly more tired of the soap opera that is the Dave Matthews Band. I may just make this my new home!

when i went to reno they had random music playing in most of the casinos. the one casino (i think it was the silver legacy) seemed to only play songs that were number 1 hits at one time or another.
i was suprised when i heard ed's voice...and then two seconds later realized it was last kiss. and wanted to blow my brains out
*edit* btw, i dont want to...flat out call you a liar, but i'm pretty sure everyone under 40 and older than 13 has heard black before

im gonna need you to expand on this
ya know...2 shitty ass albums in a row, sub-par (aside from shotgun) new material from last summer, the recording sessions that fonz said were "almost done" are scrapped, the tour not starting until july-early august, leroi's apparent lack of passion...you know, the usual shit. i just have a sneaking suspician that things there are not as they seem, and the DMB's days may be numbered. they seem to be having a real problem coming up with new material.

That Creed song.. is One Last Breath. Aside from his vocals being an obvious rip-off of Ed, his writing style to me is quite unique. But yes.. Pearl Jam totally owns Creed, along as Scott's solo stuff, through and through.

Also I know the words to Yellow Ledbetter...
well, i realize there arent really a bunch of fancy "words" in yellow ledbetter, i meant i was basically just wailing along with ed, and then ending with a loud "box or a bag, ahh yeaahhhhhhhh"
and creed sucks ass. end of debate.

yeah. i think its a frenzied shithole compared to RM, though. ive been lurking here since before i even joined, reading the new SotM threads every week, and i am immensely impressed with the writing ability of the one you call stip. i like the detailed analysis of every song and record on here, and it was through this website that i discovered the moving piece of "lets not talk about it" music, "Im still here"
i still dont understand all the hate for ten, though
