I’ll be joining hundreds of people expected to participate in the Guts & Glory 5K Walk/Run, Sunday, August 12, 2007 at Qwest Field. I’d like to ask for your support in helping to raise greatly needed funds to improve research and educational programs for the more than 1.4 million children and adults suffering from Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation in a non-profit, volunteer driven organization dedicated to curing Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. In addition, the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, provides valuable support & education services to aid patients and caregivers as they navigate life with these debilitating illnesses.

Foundations Fact & Disease Information:
• CCFA was founded in 1967.
• Crohn’s and colitis affect more than 1.4 million Americans.
• Currently their is no cure and the cause is unknown.
• Approximately 60,000 patients live here in the Northwest
• Average length of diagnosis is 3 years.
• 80 cents of every dollar CCFA spends goes towards research, support & education.

Dollars raised will go toward these local programs:
• Camp Oasis, week long summer camp for kids with IBD
• Power of Two, peer to peer outreach program
• Youth Advisory Council & Youth Activity Group
• Lending Library
• Regional education symposiums for patients & caregivers
