Does anyone know the total number of Ed's solo concerts to date starting with that April Fools Tour 2008? I counted 70 Pearl Jam concerts and was just wondering if Ed has actually had more solo concerts in the last 3 years. I have about 60 solo shows off the top of my head but not sure if there more. Probably not thread worthy but just wondering.

I think it might be close to even numbers. Eddie will have probably done around 70 after this run. But it really doesn't mean a damn thing. Soundgarden reunited and the rest of the band members have very active lives. It's not like EV is holding the band back from what it wants to do as a collective whole.

EV has released 2 albums during that time period--PJ has released one--so more EV shows makes sense.
Hmmm, so you think if Eddie Vedder said hey guys I think we should tour for 2 months in June & July 2011, that Mike woulda said "Nope I'm working on some score work for Hawaii 5-O" and Stone woulda said "My Hank Williams Choir has a beastro to play, can't do it"?
Matt woulda told Soundgarden we'll have to wait til I get an opening and Pearl Jam would be touring right now. As you see with the upcoming South American tour they don't need a new album to tour. I like the solo stuff personally though. I've been to a ton of Ed solo shows, I just was thinking it kinda sucks that their tours are so short lived....just quick hits anymore. It just seems like Ed has been on tour non-stop since 08....but if the band isn't gonna tour then I'd rather Ed be out playing his shows........it's just scary to think we have less and less concerts anymore of the best live band today and maybe ever.

Hello. I have never seen them live. Are they good?

What happens if you did this calculation immediately prior to Eddie's current tour?
What happens if you do this calculation about 3 months after Pearl Jam's next record?
PJ and EV can't tour at the same time, so any time one finishes a tour, they're going to win out in a short-term analysis.

3 years is a short term analysis?
Okay good enough.
The point kinda was...........Pearl Jam's tours are way too short now. Quick hits and then they are over. Ed's solo shows are amazing but thit sucks if they pass, at any time, Pearl Jam's touring totals.....in my opinion.
