I have always felt Pearl Jam fans are the best. There is always someone, in this forum and at other sites, willing to help others experience and enjoy everything Pearl Jam related. In some cases, it is as simple as replying within the forum, while at other times I have been fortunate enough to have people take the time burn a CD or DVD (or over 20, thanks again BeeGirl). But this is much better.
Growing up, I had a friend that was 2 years younger than me. I dont really remember when we met, but I know I have known him for over 20 years. We played youth baseball together, and our families hung out some. We played high school baseball together, hung out some, but lost touch in the 10 years since then. Every now and then we would cross paths at a bar back home, but I have not seen him in at least three years.
Last Thursday my wife handed me the telephone and indicated she did not recognize the name of the caller. It was my old friend, asking if I still followed PJ. He stated he had an extra ticket to the show at The Vic, and wanted someone who appreciated the opportunity to go, so he took the time to google me and track me down to offer me the ticket. So, I AM GOING TO THE VIC! It is especially meaningful to me because the last show I had tickets for was in Cincy, which was cancelled.
Anyway, I knew people in this forum would have a certain understanding for this situation, and appreciate the fact that a fan wanted to share The Vic experience with another true fan. I, obviously, cannot really say Thank You enough times, so I was hoping the forum would help out.
All I am asking, is for anyone who reads this to simply take the time to post "Thanks, Red" If you want, please share another story of how a fan has gone out of their way to help you. Thank all of you in advance. It is my honor to be the first to post it.
THANKS, RED

"C'arn you Reds!" (In broad Scouser accent if possible).

Remembered to ask dude that I hung with most of party night if he had any idea why I had a large (fist-sized) purple bruise on my chest. He said he remembers "OW!" but that's it. Guess I'll never know.

Great! Parking was the worst part, but we had about 7 hours of car time there and back to cover the last 7 years or so, which worked out well...the setlist was full of surprises and the venue was so small. I loved that, at some points and especially on In Hiding and HTI, the crowd actually drown out Eddie's voice. Reign was beyond belief live and I was surprised at Education and Inside Job, they were very good live and they really are not among my favorites from the studio. Eddie's set was OK, but it was cool to see him interact with the crowd, etc. and really play to Chicago. It was a wonderful experience and I owe my friend, big time.
