An exciting, rare show opportunity awaits you!
As you already know, Pearl Jam will be headlining the Lollapalooza Festival on August 5th. In preparation for the big Lolla event, they have decided to perform a smaller show on August 2nd at the legendary Vic Theatre in Chicago!
We are inviting you all to this special pre-Lollapalooza performance, but the Vic is an intimate little joint and therefore, we have a limited number of tickets to sell. However, we are offering the opportunity for you to purchase a pair of tickets for $150 USD plus applicable fees. No single tickets will be available. Tickets will be first come/first serve. These tickets will be general admission, with no early entry. This show is 18 and over.
The ticket sale will begin on Thursday, July 26, 2007 at 11am PDT. To purchase these tickets, please visit the web-store at http://www.pearljam.com/goods. The pre-sale will end July 28th at 5pm PDT or while supplies last. We expect the tickets to sell out, so please understand that “SOLD OUT” means sold out.
Before you purchase these tickets, please make sure you are able to attend ... Check with your boss to make sure you have the time off, check your bank account to make sure you have the funds necessary for travel expenses, etc. As a rule of thumb, if you purchase, you are expected to attend.
Rules: * This is NOT an all- ages event. You AND your guest must be 18 years of age to attend. ID’s will be checked at the door. * You must be an active member as of Friday, July 20, 2007. * All sales are final. No refunds. No exchanges. No transfers. No way!
Instructions: 1) TO PURCHASE, go to http://www.pearljam.com/goods and click on “Chicago Tickets”. Purchasing a quantity of “1” means you are purchasing a PAIR (2) of tickets. No single tickets will be available. Please make sure the billing address is accurate for the credit card you will be using. Visa and MasterCard are the only accepted forms of payment.
2) WAIT ... We will notify you via email with an additional confirmation once the pre-sale has ended. This confirmation will contain more information about how to receive your tickets. You can view the successful ticket order in your Ten Club Profile, by logging into your Ten Club account, click on “PROFILE” – your order history can be viewed in this screen.
3) KEEP WAITING … Ten Club tickets WILL NOT be mailed to you in advance of the show, but must be collected at the box office on the day of the performance. You must be present and show an official form of photo identification to collect the tickets. In lieu of hard tickets, you and your guest will be wristband-ed at the box office, so both parties must be present. Bear with us … this is to help prevent scalping!
Again, please understand we have a limited amount of tickets, but we would like to give every member this wonderful opportunity regardless of location or seniority! Give love!
Questions can be directed to tickets@tenclub.net, or by calling toll free 1-800-724-8038.
Good luck to you all!

There are going to be A LOT of disappointed fans that don't get tickets to this . . .
not only that its being announced so late that a lot of people probably already have their travel plans set in stone with flights hotels etc ... ie flying in on friday there is gonna be a lot of bitching going on at synergy come sunday morning i can see it now ....
i have a feeling this is gonna be a really special show, wish i was going but made the decision to save money to do a block of shows together next tour, just makes more sense then doing one headlining show and one festival show.

smart move. I would not travel for Lolla unless there were at least 8-10 bands I would pay to see. of course, the Vic show will make people do crazy things.
I have been front row for PJ, and pretty much within the first 15 rows for all 50 shows I have seen, but I plan on watching Lolla from the back of the lawn. its a zoo. too big and unorganized.
on the other hand, doing 4-6 shows in a row on a real tour is an incredible experience and gives you a totally different perspective.

Everyone and their recently fucked sister is gonna try and get tickets for this one. At least they made it 18+ so the popped collar brats won't be there. **keeps fingers crossed for thursday**

Yeah people are going to do crazy things for this vic show, im getting married on monday and were both huge, huge fans, we threw around the idea of going for our honeymoon because we heard like 2 months ago that there was going to be a show on thursday but at HOB , its just theres no point in spending 1500 on flights even thought there is a lot of bands on lolla i would like to see its just too much money we decided to use the money to go all inlcusive in mexico
i mean i live on the west coast you know youre going to get a shitload of shows in a small area/time frame and like you said you really get a better perspective plus travelling with fans and seeing them at airports and from city to city is what makes the experience
i am really envious of anyone who goes to this show, but then im envious of anyone who goes to any PJ show im not at

I was really wondering if they might do a warm up show some place like Grand Rapids, or even All State. the Grand Rapids venue seems to be shut down for the summer maybe? This could be epic.
