SLH is next week, so you can have the week after if you want. Just PM what song you feel like doing

And sorry, it won't be Red Dot.
that's okay--I've got pretty strong feelings on Red Dot. I should be able to muster something for it

maybe ed was struggling to find his voice again after the damage he imposed himself, idk but he really came off like he wasn't meaning it on RA (save for the quiet numbers: Can't Keep, TMW and All or None) - given the fact that this guy is one of the most soulful rock singers out there, i can't give this tune more than 3 stars and it's not because of eddie this song is ranked this high by me.
btw i don't wanna judge people's passions here, but something bugs me when i read the SOTM threads sometimes; it's a scale - people must put things into perspective, and notwithstanding personnal attachment or values towards the lyrics, we're fans and all you know? but come on - masterpieces (aka 5 stars tunes) are few and far between no matter what band you love.

Alright, Mastaflatch, What totally crappy song are you sitting in the dark listening to with headphones on that you don't want anyone to know about?
As for the Riot Act vocals. Clearly, Eddie was stoned.

what do you mean? i listen to grrreat music always - i often stumble onto RA randomly because PJ is in my playlist - but yeah, RA and its singles are better when stoned - i'll tell you in fact one hour from now and you know SLH, you're my favourite PJ poster
One of the 3 favorite songs on LD I have that I hadn't previously heard. ( Sad and Hold On being the other 2). Love this song. Like it much better than anything that ended up on Riot Act, actually.
I see where you guys are coming from re: the complexity of the lyrics, but that's what I love about them. The simplicity. First verse, he states how anonymous he is revealing himself as not able to change things. The second verse, he shows some excitement about his one chance to, perhaps, make some sort of difference in the world. And it's the lack of metaphor and other lyric traits he's so good at that I love about them. Simple, to the point.
I was absolutely pumped to hear this at The Gorge. My wife couldn't understand why...

Not Stupid Mop.
Good point. Why didn't I think of that?
To err is human, my friend.
It hurts to have written that huge SOTM header post about Stupid Mop and then to see such idiocy. It really, really, really hurts.
Anus, my friend, I gave you mad, mad props for that header post of yours. That being said, what it comes down to is pretty much throwing a $1,000 suit on a life-size piece of poop. It's dressed nicely, but still stinks to high heaven.

I love Undone. I love the groove, almost New Wave feel to the song, the way it manages to be both relaxing and propulsive at the same time. Musically this song is an absolute gem, one of my favorite instrumental pieces in their entire catalogue...
agree, agree, agree
4 stars.
I was so excited when I heard this on the I am Mine single. I couldn't believe this did not make the record.
Haven't listened to this in a while. Still love it.
