Don't know if this is posted anywhere else, but this Saturday, September 15, the Starz cable network will be airing the Too Tough to Die: A Tribute to Johnny Ramone documentary.
Englewood, Colo., August 3, 2007 - GABBA GABBA HEY!!! Starz Cinema presents the World Premiere of Too Tough To Die: A Tribute To Johnny Ramone on Saturday, September 15 at 10 p.m. (et/pt), the third anniversary of Johnny's death. The fast strumming, three-chord guitar master and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer passed away just two-and-half days after this 30th Anniversary concert tribute to his band, the Ramones, the seminal punk band from Flushing, Queens. Johnny has since joined band mates Joey and Dee Dee in that big CBGB palace in the sky. Highlights of the 30th Anniversary concert feature many artists covering Ramones songs (x-cluding X, who perform their own songs).
The event was meticulously produced by career-spanning Ramones creative director Arturo Vega and Joe Sib, and hosted by musician/director Rob Zombie. Too Tough To Die includes performances by Tommy, Marky & CJ Ramone, as well as performances from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Dickies, X, Eddie Vedder, Henry Rollins, Pete Yorn and many others. In addition, there are heart-felt remembrances of Johnny by Lisa Marie Presley, Sonic Youth, Debbie Harry, Nicolas Cage, as well as many of the musicians.
The second half of the film covers the bittersweet ceremony unveiling the Johnny Ramone monument at Los Angeles' Hollywood Forever Cemetery, also the resting place of Dee Dee Ramone. The beautiful bronze statue captures the larger-than-life Johnny, clad in his signature Ramones outfit and furiously playing guitar.
A short time before his death, Johnny commented, "We knew we were good, we knew we were innovative. I would never have expected that 30 years from then, it would really take off and grow exponentially and we would be bigger than ever."
Too Tough To Die: A Tribute To Johnny Ramone is directed by Mandy Stein and is A Plain Jane Production in association with Cactus Three.

DVR DVR. I always forget to program it. I suck
'Course I didn't miss MegaSnake. Who could miss MegaSnake? It was about a huge fucking snake. Who would wanna miss that? A huge MegaSnake (smegmasnake) in Tennessee (Bulgaria), complete with a highly paid cast (lip synced Bulgarian actors) whose (ab)use of language made it impossible for the English speaking cast to maintain a southern accent as it kept turning toward some twisted Tennessee/Bulgarian/Canadian thing.
I can forget about a serial TV shows and specials, but a MegaSnake who vomits semi digested sheep, bites fingers, kills kittens, and squeezes you till your skull pops blood? Now THAT cannot be missed for any reason what-so-ever

So, did anyone else watch this? It shows the complete performance of Eddie doing I Believe In Miracles and Sheena Is A Punk Rocker with mr. armstrong from Rancid and another guy from Bad Religion from September 2004 (Ramones 30th anniversary concert). It also shows Eddie speaking at Johnny's funeral, with Jill and Olivia looking on. It repeats again today at 8 pm or some time around there.
It's not out on DVD, so someone should get a capture of this and put it on DVD.
