We haven't done this in a while, and we have way more interested people then we could fairly accomodate in a 16 man tournament. So instead we're going to do it in two brackets. The first bracket will be for people who had not participated in the first two tournaments. The second bracket is for anyone who didn't get into the first bracket or people who have done these before.
We will draft and play bracket I in its entirety before we move on to bracket II. The drafts are seperate so someone can draft tremor christ in bracket I and Bracket II. The winner of each bracket will play each other to determine the overall winner
Here is how drafting will work
All Pearl Jam studio songs, including covers, outtakes, demos, etc are available for drafting. Live songs are not Into the Wild is available but other Eddie solo projects are not Other band member side projects are not
Snake style draft. There will be 8 rounds total. 6 rounds will be the general draft. After round I the winning teams (starting with the lowest number) draft a 7th song. After round II the the winning teams draft an 8th song.
There will be ten hours avaialbe to make your pick. If you have not made it in that time your turn is skipped and the draft moves to the next person. However, as soon as you surface you can just go ahead and make your pick. you don't have to wait until the end of the round. I will not be in the tournament, so if your turn is coming up and you are worried about missing it PM me a list
The overall winner of each bracket will draft a 9th song to take into the finals with them
If you have any questions just let me know in the thread
If you sign up, please indicate which bracket (the new bracket or the returning bracket--which new players can use if the new bracket fills first) you are signing up for

mmm, looked at the previous ones, I think I get it....well not really the number of rounds or when you pick extra songs actually..
1 question though: what are the chances of the tournament being completed by the 20th December? (I'm going home for Xmas and internet access whilst there is erratic to non-existant ..mind you, I'll probably get kicked out in the first round anyway since I started looking and I simply can't stay away from Vs..a lot of Vs! )

for your bracket pretty reasonable
there are 6 rounds before the tournament starts. The extra drafting happens after the early rounds

my loss in the original tournament broke me. I can't imagine having a better team, so I don't think I could ever be in another one of these

Remembered to ask dude that I hung with most of party night if he had any idea why I had a large (fist-sized) purple bruise on my chest. He said he remembers "OW!" but that's it. Guess I'll never know.

there are 6 rounds of drafting. Then the first round of voting. After the first round of voting there is another one round draft, and so on...

ok, I got that! but still not clear on that:
Quote:
The overall winner of each bracket will draft a 9th song to take into the finals with them
now if there's a new song drafted after each round of voting, there's 4 rounds of voting in each bracket (to get to 1 winner), so it should make it 10th song for the final between the 2 brackets no?

I didn't have a new song being drafted for the last two rounds of the tournament, so it would be 8 songs total--then the ninth AFTER the last bit of voting
But if others wish to change that I'm flexible. I really like the idea of the teams expanding as the tournament progresses, and pearl jam's catalogue is deep, and the people drafting and voting likely know all of it
