I was listening to the Gorge show and it just sounds like Matt beefed up the songs nicely with some complimenting fills. I mean, Matt's always been good, but it just sounds like he's nailed everything...especially Blood and RVM.
The background vocals are actually really audible too, which is kinda a first. Fuckin kudos to Basecamp for mixing the shit out of these shows.

The drums are much better in the mix but I think Eddie is actually a bit muted
I'm on my third time through the gorge show and it is really growing on me. This was a VERY solid show

I agree, he kicked it up a notch, that was drumming I haven't heard in PJ songs since Abruzzzesezeeeeeze. I know that's a polarizing name and all, but really, Matt was tearing the place down. Ed's voice did get lost amid all the noise in some songs, but everyone was playing so well I didn't care.
