that jeremy bass line sounds fantastic, wow,

it sounds so different when pulled out of the song.

sometimes I like to listen to just stone's guitar and it seems like such a.....unnatural way to play, I don't know how to say it.

but all those "different" things when placed atop and together is what makes a great pearl jam song so good.

yes. that's the truth.

his groove in Ten was huge..i see the Janes Addiction influence Stone and Jeff said about that time...i really like some of his basslines in MLB, specially Holly Roller, This is Shangrila and Stardog Champion.

These are cool to hear. I know nothing about bass and how to listen for it in songs, so to hear it alone is pretty educational and makes you more appreciative of them. And they sound absolutely NOTHING like what I would have guessed... it's like I'm hearing parts of songs I've never noticed after 20 years of listening

One bass line that I've always really liked is in Not For You. It's a really cool counter to the guitar chord progression.

It sounds like a really sloppy take. A good part, but I wish it was tighter. Jeff's always been the last guy I listen to in the band. He writes good songs, but I've never been floored by his abilities, although it seems like he's the perfect compliment to Stone and Stone rules, so...

I don't think the song would work as well without the looseness. It adds to the whole Crazy Horse vibe.

"Faithfull" and "In Hiding" are two of my favorite Jeff basslines.

I also really like the part at the end of "Hail Hail" where it sounds like he's playing "Ice Ice Baby."

My favorite PJ bassline belongs to Brendan O'Brien on I Got Shit, but I loooove Jeff's on Bushleaguer.

It's not the most technical of Jeff songs by any means, but I've always loved the way the bass sounds on In My Tree.

since RNDM is a power trio there's much space for some bass....

he's excellent on the whole record
