What about Sweet Lew? His bass in that song is groove-tastic. If it had better lyrics I'd be a huge fan of the song.

I really enjoy Sweet Lew. The lyrics are dumb enough that it is easy to enjoy for what it is, plus Ed isn't singing it so I don't expect any more out of it

To those wondering, I had used the two above posts in two separate threads. Then Stip acted like a bitch and ruined the effect by merging the two threads. Thanks, Stip :x

It's actually the punchline to the joke that begins "So an Irishman and a Jew post on the same message board...".

I like Sweert Lew, it shows how hip-hop\rap stuff can improve with real instruments instead of samples.

present tense and push me pull me.

he likes to play usual pentatonics but still sounds great. a bunch of other songs (green disease, hail hail, jeremy, tremor christ...) got nice basslines but these two songs got jeff's signature i think.

Jeff's bass on Avocado really impresses me. I like the bass on just about every song. Which is great, because I he didnt jump out at me too much in the previous records...with some exceptions Bushleaguer, GD, etc...

I think that the bass is quite buried in the mix, except for Parachutes, and Inside Job.

The only song where I can say I actually noticed the bass in a positive way (mind you, I play guitar and a bit of drums) is All Those Yesterdays. I love that shit.
