$31 is not a ripoff for that item. But with 3 days left to go, it could get expensive.

No, not yet. It could get pricey but it's fairly cheap at the moment, considering.

$31 is a DAMN good price. I paid about that buying them retail.

Is it a "rip off"? Only if you pay more than you wanted to pay for it. I used to have this set of CD-Singles, they didn't seem so "rare" to me. I think "back in the day" I might have paid $30 for them if getting both separately for $9.99 each wasn't easily done. Now that they are, presumably, out of print, and CD-Singles are more rarely made these days (in light of iTunes and other song download options for $$), I guess if someone is building their collection they are worth having,... but not for any more than $40 (including shipping). More than that and I would say someone is spending some money that they will never recoup; obviously true "collectors" don't really care about that though.

If by that you mean 'is it legit', yes. This was a set issued by the band back in '94, you could probably consider their first 'official bootleg', unfortunetly the whole show is not represented on the discs though.

This site tends to be overpriced, but is just an example as to what can still be found out and what is more difficult to find out there:

As I mentioned in another thread: I got this one for free from a coworker :)

Just like I got the Ten Yellow Digipak for free from another coworker this morning!

I saw a well worn copy (the 3 discs in digipack) in a used CD shop about six months ago for 24.95, and I didn't buy it because I didn't have a lot of money, and I already have copies of these. I wish I had bought it now. :(

Got an Atlanta set off ebay for $36 a couple of months ago. It's nice to have, but I sort of regret paying that for it now. You can download the whole show for free from somewhere im sure. It was my first ebay purchase though, and i just really wanted a little piece of PJ memorobilia. A few weeks later I got a better deal: Basketball Vinyl for $69. That one I am pleased with.

$35 isn't a bad price at all right now. But any higher and it does get a little too pricey. Atleast for me.

Why get that set when you can get the complete soundboard show for free?

Because it's a collectors item. I say, if you're prepared to pay the money, good luck to you.

I'm tired of this cop-out! No offense, I mean, I know you didn't invent it, but when is someone going to make a website of reasonable price ranges for Pearl Jam items. Maybe a serious music collector or used music store owner? Someone has to have the knowledge to make those estimates.

First of all, someone did make a website. I don't have the link, but it was on the old board, somebody had made an ebay price tracker that showed average prices for many rare pj items.

Secondly, it's not a cop out. When an item is not available for retail, then it is worth precisely how much someone is willing to pay for it, and the only measure of whether it was a good deal or not is how happy the buyer is. It's capitalism, and it's what makes the world go 'round.

Here's another idea, and this is what I, and I imagine most people, do. You watch ebay for a while and see how much an item you're interested in typically goes for. Then you get an idea of what a good price is, and you try to get it for that price.

I posted that site address less than a week ago on these very boards. The address is:
