I know the band does lean towards The Left, but some of their views are right down the middle and dare I say to The Right. Curious to hear your thoughts, RM....

I'm not going to say where, but I read somewhere on the Internet that Ed privately votes for more Republicans than Democrats. He is a registered independent and has a right to chose, but I thought he was super liberal. Am I wrong?

What the heck does I Got Shit, Release and Pearl Jam's conservative politics have to do with this discussion? If you aren't going to be serious, go post in the Release forum.

I would think that every member of Pearl Jam is much more right wing or conservative in their day to day actions than they'd ever want to believe.
They may say they want universsal healthcare but I doubt they wait in their local emergency room to see a doctor.
They may say they are for the environment but then play the Gorge rather than Seattle. A venue that has absolutely no public transit nor is it anywhere close to where people live.
In other words they are just like you and me, conservative on some things and very liberal on others. And on many of the subjects they are very liberal on they want to reserve the right to act very conservatively.

I think you may miss the point here on what universal health care is supposed to be

I live in Canada, I understand exactly what universal healthcare is. It sucks big time but beats the alternative if you care about the poor and poor in health.
