Hopefully there will more to download later. Either way, I'm glad they're in there.

I'm pretty sure it's due on 360 in September and PS3 in October. Not sure if they've released prices or exact date though. Do know that all downloadable content from the first game will be compatible with RB2 and you'll be able to export most of the songs from the RB1 disc and play them in RB2. No disc swaping needed.

Don't care, want more. In fact they should do a Guitar Hero: 90's Seatle Sound with nothing but quote un-quote grunge music. That would rock the cas-bah! Don't care if I'm alone on that either. :D

Oh, certainly. Except real instruments are expensive and take time and discipline and is sort of a committment, so forgive the poor, simple common folk if they just want to have some fun instead.

And besides, I know a few peeps who played Rock Band, had a good time and, as a result, did pick up real instruments. ;)

I don't see how learning to play rockband and learning to play a real instrument are all that similar. Yeah, you learn a bit about timing, and maybe learn some of the mechanics used to play drums, but that's really it. Rockband is just a game, an insanely fun game. I can't freaking wait for #2 so I can be Mike McCready for 6 minutes.

I've tried playing real guitar and while I can read music and get by on some songs I'm far superior in Rock Band. I wish I could play for real but even after 5 years of lessons and another 10 years of trying on my own I'm just not that good. These games are a nice substitute.

I used to use the "why don't you just learn to play guitar, man?" argument, until my friend asked me when the last time I played a video game was.

"Uhhhhh," I eloquently stated, "prolly Doom. Nah, X-Wing, when it were new."
"So," he snapped in his caveman speak, "X-Wing was, if I correctly recall, a flight simulator. Is this correct?"
"Ah guess," I said, dancing upon the language like a poet on a summer's day.
"So then," he driveled, "why didn't you feel the urge to learn to fly a real plane, instead?"

So basically, he taught me that he's an idiot, I think, is what I got out of that.

Maybe you smack the microphone like the tambourine on Are You Gonna Be My Girl?
