Now that's a positive review! Obviously a fan but also nice to read a write up from a critic who's familiar with the band's later material. Not much actual content though.

Was Indifference slow-burning? I couldn't tell from that review. And how many "deep cuts" did they play? In the end, did he really tell us anything about the show, other than the one or two tidbit facts? Not much description.

I can't believe that guy has a job writing...I mean, i know he just repeated those things just twice, but I still found it funny. :haha:

Positive review nonetheless  Can't wait for Hartford!

Made sense, considering his (accurate) opening statements.

One of the few concert reviews I've read that shows more than a passing bit of knowledge about the band. Of course, the last time I was a big enough fan to hunt down and read reviews was the Binaural tour, when every review had the same lines. Something about "tearing through new songs like Insignificance and Break Her Fall," and something else about "powerful renditions" of a few hits.

Antarctica is a bigger island than Australia.

For some reason they always told us Austrailia was an island, but Antarctica wasn't. *shrugs*

I'm with you. I probably haven't really "hunted" for reviews since the Riot Act tour and even then I wasn't as much, but anyway...I haven't seen "rising from the ashes of Mother Love Bone" in a PJ article in a while. That shit was in every freaking article about Pearl Jam for a good 13 years. Maybe the band has finally grown out of it.

It all depends on your definition of continent vs island. Many leading scolarly resorces such as wikipedia consider Australia a continent and therefore Greenland is the worlds biggest island.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Wikipedia is not scholarly.

And, therefore, not scholarly.
