None, as far as I know. Eddie has played "Walking the Cow" live quite a bit, especially this year.

Yes, and I would love it if they would cover more songs of Daniel Johnston. I saw him again earlier this months and he is a true songwriting genius.

groetjes,
Mirella :)

The first I heard of it being played was at the '94 Bridge School concert. Great version of it, too.

What's the documentary on him called? The Devil And Daniel Johnston? Has anyone seen it?

that's what called my attention. it says that Pearl Jam recorded his songs. the documentary is very good. in a weird way, because the guy is weird.

I looked up some stuff on Youtube. Its really weird how a musician that most people wouldn't consider talented can find recognition and respect from other artists who are able to see past the limited ability and hone in on whats so special about the music in the first place. The casual music fan probably wouldn't find anything amazing about Johnston's work on first listen, but when you hear a cover by M. Ward or Bright Eyes, or even Eddie, its like a revelation. Its just an odd feeling to hear arguably more talented musicians make someone else's music more accessible.

It's not only a good documentary about Johnston, it's a good documentary on bipolar disorder and the effects it has on family members and how difficult it is to treat for some people.
